BFT-6011-MP

BFT-6011-MP is a two-component, water-based epoxy adhesion primer for low-slope roof restoration and coating systems. It is designed to improve the adhesion of liquid-applied roof coatings on difficult, aged, chalky, or weathered substrates while helping reduce asphaltic oil bleed-through beneath light-colored topcoats.
This primer is mixed at a 9:1 ratio by volume and is compatible with acrylic, polyurethane, silicone, and butyl roof coatings after proper cure and project-specific compatibility verification. Typical substrates include aged asphaltic roofs, modified bitumen, BUR, concrete, masonry, galvanized metal, prepared single-ply membranes, and previously coated roofs after proper cleaning and adhesion testing.
BFT-6011-MP features a water-based, low-VOC formulation with a translucent light red tint for visual coverage control. It can be applied by brush, short-nap roller, or airless spray, making it suitable for large roof areas as well as detail work such as parapets, edge flashings, curbs, penetrations, and transition walls.
Typical performance benefits include improved coating bond strength, asphalt bleed resistance, water resistance after full cure, alkali resistance on prepared mineral substrates, and compatibility with common roof restoration topcoats. Application is recommended when ambient air temperature is 40°F to 95°F, substrate temperature is 40°F to 120°F, maximum relative humidity is 80%, and the substrate remains at least 5°F above the dew point.
